Verification log: sources, uncertainty and decisions
Prepare a source log in your browser, export CSV or JSON, reopen your own file and document findings without sending form contents to a server.
The form uses only this tab’s memory. It does not upload entries, fetch entered URLs or use automatic browser storage. Export before closing. Avoid recording unnecessary personal information.
From a question to a reviewable conclusion
- Write one material claim per entry; separate identity, dates and intent.
- Record the original source. Reprints of the same origin are not independent confirmations.
- Keep observation, inference and remaining uncertainty separate. Explain what could change the conclusion.
- Export the log and keep original documents in an appropriate protected location.

FAQ
Are my entries saved automatically?
No. Entries remain in the current tab until you export them. Closing or reloading the page can lose the work. Download a JSON file to reopen the record later.
Does this log capture evidence?
No. It records your observations and references. Keep original files separately, with their context and access controls. The log does not prove authenticity or establish a legal chain of custody.
Why are CSV cells sometimes prefixed with an apostrophe?
Values that could be interpreted as spreadsheet formulas are neutralised on export. Use JSON when an exact text round trip is required.
